I lived in many places growing up. Boston, MA, Los Alamos, NM, Norman, OK, Alamosa, CO and Gainesville, FL. After graduation from high school in Gainesville, the draft called which included a tour in Vietnam on riverboats. After an honorable discharge, I returned to a new home, Clemson, where my father was a professor of mathematics. I attended Clemson University and graduated with a degree in industrial education for industry.
In 1976 I began a career with Nationwide Insurance as an agent for 40 years. Throughout my career, I always enjoyed working with people and insured many homes for customers always matching coverage to their protection needs. Moving into real estate with Re/Max was a natural transition from insurance that leverages my experience with properties and allows me to keep working with and helping individuals.
I’ve lived in Oconee and Pickens counties for decades and know it well, especially Six Mile. Where I currently live, Westminster, is where I raised my two daughters. I welcome sharing this knowledge of the area with clients.
Besides real estate, I enjoy spending time with my wife, and our four grandchildren, as well as our two dogs, Hank and our 3-legged rescue dog and Lilly. I also enjoy flying light aircraft and have a strong interest in electric cars. KA4VOM is my amateur radio call sign but computers seem to have replaced this pastime.
